I have become fascinated with the completely crap-a-docious nature of the SanFransizzleco transportation system.
I spend untold hours on the bus every week. It's an intermediate zone where time gets sucked out by Gods vacumn. I believe i will conduct a symphony using the obnoxious groanings, bleeping, weezing, banging, gasping, and braking squeels of the bus, and not to mention all the insane blatherings that fall from the air on the bus, by drunkards, crack heads, tech geeks, if only strange looks could be sounds, what an alarming arsenal of squaks and squalars i would catalog. Anyway......... Im going to craft a compostion that will start at my getting on the bus at Geneva and Paris-----then i will convert miles into some span of time-(( for example every mile might equal 15 seconds audio time)--every intersection crossed by the bus will serve as a marker in a system for percussion.
I'm toying with the idea of only recording material when i pass through the intersection---but that might be a little constraining. Im also mulling over the idea of crafting a video for this---or perhaps somsort of FLASH diagrammatic illustration that travels along the map, with many floating daigrams and dancing icons to distract you.

Free Culture sounds good. Hack it. quite amateurish in this respect but curious and open minded, i want my soul to be a bit more digital, wish i could grab data stream 1sand 0s with my hands and manipulate them in a real room.

Performed poetry with the aid and mixture of shit recorded on tape recorders, ghetto tech recording with a tape recorder from a computer speaker.

Acquiring digital audio, ripping off old samples, remixing, building ambient textures, manipulation of voices, building complex random audio environments.

connections, experience with software, knowledge of the digital world and how to walk through it and borrow gods jumpsuit to jog through data, some practical info on how to crack into the digital market, and score some sort of job tinkering with my fledgling digital skill, soon to be uber-nowish digital know-how

no. my senior year of Undergrad at the maryland institute college of art i took a sound class, that taught me how to use protools, and taught some general physics of sound and the evolutionary development of our sound hardware we call ears.
