DJ Dmadness Interview Questions/Discussion

Music:
- Let’s start off with a pretty standard question… what got you into Dj’ing and why the hell are you still doing it?
- Ok now let me hit you wit a monkey wrench… I know that this shit doesn’t pay the bills mannn, so why bother?
- How does a love for music, for sound transfer into a love for history and literature… you know two of the most reading oriented subjects your gonna have as a kid throughout the school experience.

Education:
- How do you feel about education? I mean… obviously you’re an educated gentleman yourself and are teaching in the Oakland public schools system but what are your overall FEELINGS about why and how we… or you… can better educate youth? Draw their interest?
- Now how does you being a DJ really help your situation?
- You do a CD once a year right? With the kids over at the junior high? That was probably one of the coolest things I have heard about this year man for real… how have the kids responded to that? What kind of positive impact have you seen come from that in your own students?
- So I was reading a book by David Troop, a real dope historical reference on a lot of hip-hop’s roots, all the way up to like Early to Mid-90’s commercial siege on the art form. Well I had to think of you when they touched on a young DJ from Buffalo NY… Gary Byrd. Anyway this dood was prolly one of the first kats really using rap to teach in educational institutions… he had this great quote and I wanted to ask you your observations… now this was decades ago and I’m curious as to how this might still be effective or even amplified
