Laoban Promotion and Instruction

Day before physically, and the day of, distribute simple HOWTO/Plans for how to make the Laoban "Xiaoban" light speakers. These will help promo the show. I will print some in san francisco before catching my flight, and more in Melbourne. I will put the PDF online on the Fabricatorz website.

Laoban Speaker Workshop

Laoban Speaker Workshop is a small hands-on session dedicated to making custom xiaoban speakers from local materials in Melbourne, combined with Laoban speaker drivers. The emphasis in this event is not just on technology, but on the use of these speakers through "realtime" performance, pre-programmed audio pieces by Yan Jun (China), and throughout The Invisible Generation event for Vision Forum.

Overlap Salon Melbourne #1 is the first event featuring presentations, performances and demonstrations by artists working at the intersection of media, art and technology. Its a multi-faceted event that is constituted by those who attend, are presenting, and the location of each event. It is free and open to the public. Bring you laptop, come with some topics in mind and ready to mix in.
