I took a look at the intrade futures market trading on Obama vs Hillary, of which he has an 86.2% chance of becoming the Democratic presidental candidate. I thought, “Hey, this is a done deal!” Then I realized that unless I pushed more, then possibly that number might hedge. So, I donated to Nat’s already-over-the-goal pledge campaign of 10K for Obama. Go Go Go! Even if it’s just 10$ or 50$, help push! Its a good investment

Also, I want to see Obama deal the deathly blow to same-as-usual-lady. Also, if I hear someone start another movement, it better be one that ends in the bowels Wired or Tired or Expired? Get over it, or work for jesus xinxai! 对不对？

Well, I gues the day’s news has been won by Steve Jobs and Anti-DRM. Thank the Lord. Also, in another thank god moment. Ted Haggard has been cured from gay-ness. He is now “Completely Heterosexual.” Yes, that’s right he was cured. Praise the Lord!
I think this respected news source sums it up well:

Who is Ted Haggard? Remember the disgraced preacher who liked to snort meth off the buttocks of a gay hooker? That Ted Haggard.
Haggard, 50, resigned as president of the National Association of Evangelicals and was fired from the church he built from nothing into a 14,000-member congregation after a former male prostitute in Denver alleged a three-year cash-for-sex relationship.
Now the Rev. Ted Haggard has emerged from three weeks of intensive counseling convinced he is “completely heterosexual” and told an oversight board that his sexual contact with men was limited to his accuser, the gay hooker.
It is notable how Ted Haggard and his crew have dealt with this issue in Bush-Rove-like fashion. Gavin Newsome, San Francisco’s pro-affair alcohol using mayor, should learn some tactics from Haggard’s team on ground control: Faith first, truth second.

So, first off, looks like Democrats are taking control of the House and Senate hopefully repealing and changing the current bad state of the United States. Then Rumsfeld resigns his post! What a great day!
I’m also feeling optimistic about the Microsoft/Novell deal now as well, as the complexities of it unfold.
Then, come to find out, one of my areas of major interest, Open Source Cellphones received a major boost with the announcement of the OpenMoko phone and Harold Welte’s involvment. This is great because I will be speaking at a conference in Taiwan in January, so hopefully can connect them up with Creative Commons Taiwan so we can get some properly licensed content onto these phones.
Oh, and to top it all off, tonite is the 10th Creative Commons Salon in San Francisco where the Homebrew Mobile Club, featuring Matthew Hamrick (who works for ACCESS, used to be palmsource) will be presenting about the “Complete Open Phone.”
UPDATE: The good news doesn’t end now that I see this post that Google’s CEO, Eric Schmidt is calling for making data EXPORT a key strategy and encouraging others to do so, similar to something I wrote in the past. This is so great. I want to work with Google more!

Yes, the question of moral reality vs hidden morality is yet again on display with the rev. haggard getting sexed by a male prostitute who tells the world.
Ah, I grew up seeing these amazing truths in the “church” and am constantly amazed by all that comes out of the religious right in the good ole USA.
Come to think of it, I would prefer a complete honest satanist, bigot, nihilist, or atheist to a hidden good person, like this type of pastor. At least with the honest satanist, bigot, nihilist or atheist, wearing that badge on the outside is at least honest. Wouldn’t you rather see the moral reality rather than a hidden morality that deceives communities?

Metavid now has an embedded Java video viewer which helps in viewing videos they recorded of Mark Foley.
Ironically, Mark Foley discusses sexual predators and children in a few of these clips. It is quite amazing to do this research myself (with the help of metavid).
