Open Source Contributions

This is a place for various contributions to different Open Source projects. I have been providing some smaller patches to different projects, and sometimes it takes too long for them to get integrated into projects. Also, I am including some other code here that might not ever get into a project.

Projects

Gotmail

• Contributions:
• After 6-12 months of inactive development, I asked for admin privileges to apply all patches in queue, respond to bug posts, and to fill several feature requests.
• Lowered the barriers for participation by creating a mailing list, setting a one contribution to join the project policy, and started to apply patches in a more timely manner.
• Set the project on a more regular release cycle and opened up the sf.net CVS tree
• Found a packager to help with creating releases
• Created an announcement list to send out notices of releases
• Improved documentation of the file releases
• With community patches, got Gotmail to work on win32 so that it now works on all major systems easily and effectively

• Repaired support for Microsoft Visual Studio compiling
