Ubuntu Release Party this Thursday!

Updated April 28, 2010 @ 4:42 pm

We’d like to let everyone know of the upcoming Release Party of Ubuntu 10.04 (Lucid Lynx) this Thrusday at Thirsty Bear Brewing Co. in San Francisco! Ubuntu is a great supporter of Status.Net and is itself a tremendous network of open and distributed services and powerful platform for developers.

“For every Ubuntu release we like to organise parties all over the world. At these parties everyone is welcome and we get together to celebrate, meet new friends and often introduce people new to Ubuntu to our community and our Operating System. Release parties are not only a great way to meet people but they are a lot of fun!”

Open Clip Art Library 2.1 Out in the Wild

Updated April 26, 2010 @ 11:41 am

Brad posted this up at Fabricatorz blog announcing OCAL 2.1:

The Librarians at The Open Clip Art Library have been working around the clock to deliver a solid followup, building upon the success of their April 2.0 release. With the help of members of our Fabricatorz team, mission accomplished!

Key features of this new release aim to reward OCAL users and contributors by increasing usability and functionality. Among these new features, the ability for authors to delete images they’ve uploaded allows for revisions on work, while also reducing clutter and the need for duplicate graphics. Users from years past who are itching to get back into the contribution space are encouraged to dust off those old accounts, as The Open Clip Art Library now has recovery options for name/password information.

Head on over to check out Open Clip Art Library and read the rest of the post about the new release. If you are press, we’ve got you covered too with the official Open Clip Art Library 2.1 press release!
