    Using Inkscape as a backend for a slideware presentation front end would be a good idea. Though if you’re on a Windows box, you could use Inkscape to generate slides, save them as JPEGs or PNGs and then use IrfanView (freeware, but not FLOSS) for the display. Great fullscreen graphics viewer with slideshow features.

    This is true…but I’m thinking as well about sorting of slides (usually done last minute), transitions with nice keynote-like effects, and more…Inkscape has the lovely graphics-side covered, but the animations, transitions, etc…not there yet…
