Videogame Music Reigns Supreme

Updated November 12, 2007 @ 1:37 am

Last friday, Lu and I had Isshu Rakusai, his new wife Hiroyo over, and then our good friend Eric Zhu (aka, Doublefish) over for dinner and chatting.

Later in the evening we put on some of Eric’s brilliant gameboy music and jammed out.

And, just now, after having overdosing on Lil Wayne and Dubstep, it occurred to me, is there videogame Internet Radio? I could listen to that all day!

Well, here is your guide my friends, and please add to my list if it is weak:

Ok, my list is weak! If you know of more, lazyweb, geez, help me get my fix.

  5. It’s not exactly a videogame internet radio, it’s a demoscene internet radio but i think the type of music is similar:

  6. http://ocremix.org has numerous video game remixes, and http://oc.ormgas.com offers them as a radio station.

If you want some of the best they have to offer, I suggest checking out their albums, which contain a set of remixes for most or all of the music for a single game; I particularly recommend Chrono Symphonic (Chrono Trigger), Relics of the Chozo (Super Metroid), and Project Chaos (Sonic 3 & Knuckles). I also recommend the specific songs “Triforce Majeure” and “Calamitous Judgment”.
