Five years after this sad incident and it is still being *used* to justify worse atrocities than the actual situation. I can’t believe the current administration is still in power and that all of the smart people I associate with in Open Source, academia and the real world haven’t joined together, either through collective action or unified coordination, to solve workarounds around the administration. I am amazed also how passively ignorant the USA is internally while being possibly more ignorantly aggressive externally.
I really would like to apply the skills learned in Open Source, Open Content and Free Culture to these problems. Or, I wonder if continuing on the current path is working to solve the problem in more local ways (rather than a more global direct conflict).
How can the aforementioned ideas be applied to business, society, voting, democracy, new forms of government, and how we could all connect these communities?
