Yes, looks like Raph Levien is pushing in the font land.

I have some knew knowledge about fonts and licensing which would be of use. I really need some more time to pull these thoughts together, but hopefully this blog post will ring upon like ears. Basically, fonts are not protected by copyright.

I’m doing some spelunking at Creative Commons to find out more about this. I hope though that interested parties can move with a unified front on these things.

Check out Raphs fonts: Inconsolata and others. They are such great fonts! I want them so bad as some of the fonts that will make up the new Open Font Library.
