IBM’s Power Challenge

Anyone want to work with me on one of these challenges from IBM? We could get a G5 for Inkscape and OCAL, a segway or some cash. Anyone up for it?

  1. When I looked at those last, it said that it had to be for a project that wasn’t already ported to PowerPC. I currently use Inkscape on PowerPC — and I think anything in Debian has been ported.

    You might be able to write something up to replace the MMX code with Altivec code though. Although, much of that will probably go away with the switch to Cairo.
